êLandmann-Jungman Memorial Hospital Landmann-Jungman Memorial Hospital (LJMH) was built in 1969 in Scotland, South Dakota with funds donated by individuals and businesses in the community and funds from a federal grant. We are a community, non-profit corporation governed by a Board of Directors elected by the community. The hospital was named after two long-time doctors, Gustav Landmann, MD and O. A. Jungman, DO. The hospital is licensed for 25 acute care beds and 10 swing beds. At any given time, 19 beds are staffed. In addition to general medical/surgical inpatient cases, many of our activities involve outpatient work. Several visiting specialists conduct outreach clinics on a regular basis, including cardiology, urology, orthopedics, and ear, nose, and throat, as well as mobile MRI, CT, nuclear medicine and mammography.LJMH is proud of the excellent patient care we provide to our patients and the kindness displayed to our patient families and friends. The hospital is noted for its community service, which includes an annual health fair, and bi-monthly blood drives. LJMH employs over 45 full and part-time staff. Dr. Melissa J.
